It is my honor to announce the seventh year of CSI-Nihilent e-Governance Awards. The Computer Society of India and Nihilent have jointly instituted and managed a series of awards for recognizing the contributions made in the field of e-Governance in the country. The basic objective of these awards has been to recognize and appreciate the successful efforts by the States, Government Departments, Project initiatives and Districts in achieving good governance using ICT. The Awards winners will be felicitated at the 45th CSI National Convention to be held in Mumbai on 26 Nov 2010.
Over the period of years the evaluation process has been recognized and appreciated by all those who have participated and shared the initiatives taken by them. It has been the endeavor of the selection committee members and others involved in this process to bring as many projects in the fore front for the benefit of all. Another major value addition being made towards knowledge sharing is by documenting and bringing out a publication, for the benefit of all at large. This year also our endeavor is to bring out the publication coinciding with the Awards.
I personally, and on behalf of the selection committee seek your support for nominating the good initiatives across the Central and State/UT Governments in the various categories for this years awards. It will be appreciated if this announcement is shared with members in Government. The nominations are open on 15 April and Now Closes on 31 Aug 2010.
Looking forward to your support in taking this initiative forward. Piyush Gupta
