| CSI-Nihilent e-Governance
Awards 2007-08 |
| CSI and Nihilent joined hands
in year 2002 to focus on this important area
and instituted the "CSI-Nihilent e-Governance
Awards" for various categories covering, individual
projects, technical companies and State level
efforts in this area. This year also "CSI
Nihilent e-Governance Awards 2007-08" are
being announced for the new projects and value
addition done in older projects during 1st
April 2007 to 31st March 2008. |
| Apart from continuing the Best
e-Governed State Awards, there is a plan to
institute a new award Best e-Governance Department
Award to encourage Government Departments
which have shown great promise in delivering
best results of e-Government. The project
evaluation process needs to be transparent
and ensure that final selection is based on
an appropriate framework. |
| The evaluation procedure is
being planned to incorporate significant emphasis
on self-assessment by the Project Owners,
apart from a use of Analytic Hierarchy Process
(AHP) Model, that was used last year, and
on-site visits that were incorporated to further
fine-tune the basic model and accuracy of
award process. |
| This year a nucleus of CSI
Special Interest Group on e-Governance is
being set up to bring out a compendium of
various e-Governance initiatives along with
a centralized database for use in future.
