Award Categories
These Awards are instituted for recognizing ICT initiatives by both State and Central Government establishments/ Institutions, in the following categories both at the State and Central level, within India.

Award of Excellence State Category
  Nominations can be submitted by any State Government or Union Territory(UT), show casing their ICT success story i.e initiatives taken over the years and in detail for the year 2010-11, with focus on policies, infrastructure, capacity building, mission mode projects launched & successfully rolled out, Innovation and best practices used in ICT implementation, deployment and use of State /departmental portals for delivery of services, integration of disparate systems and extent of sharing of common infrastructure and resources, NEGP and Industry standards adopted across the State/UT.

Nominations will be judged based on overall performance - results, enablers, value indicators in planning and achieving State level e-Governance.

Award of Excellence
Department Category
  Nominations can be submitted by any department at Central level or any Department at State level or by any Central/State Government undertaking/ agency, show casing their success stories with respect to ICT initiatives across the Department/ Undertaking during the year 2010-11 with focus on Department level projects launched, extent of deployment, sharing of best practices of other States/ Departments, integration of ICT systems within the department and with other departments systems/databases, training and development up of person power, use of created / available infrastructure, process reengineering done etc

Nominations will be judged based on overall performance across the departments with regard to - results, enablers, value indicators in planning and achieving Department level e-Governance.

Awards of Excellence District Category
  Nominations can be submitted by any District authority within the country, show casing their success stories with respect to ICT initiatives across the District during the year 2010-11 with focus on District level G2C projects launched, extent of deployment, creation of infrastructure and sharing of available infrastructure, best practices adopted from other Districts within outside the State, vertical and horizontal integration of ICT systems within the district and with Department/ State level systems, training and development up of person power, process reengineering done, extent of convergence with NeGP Mission Mode Project plans for eDistrict.

Nominations will be judged based on overall performance across the district with regard to - results, enablers, value indicators in planning and achieving District level e-Governance.

Award of Excellence Project Category
  Nominations can be submitted by any Institution, Government organization (Central or State), Department authority (Central / State) or District level authority, GoI entities, established within the country -show casing their success stories with respect to individual project level ICT initiatives launched / deployed under their control during the year 2010-11 with focus on delivery of G2C, G2B,G2G services, extent of their deployment, plan vs performance in realizing Project goals, innovation in solution design/implementation/ business model applied, sharing of best practices from other projects addressing similar needs from within or outside the State, extent of State/Central level standards followed in conceptualization of solution and in deployment, environment created for sustaining the project, extent of usage of the system by stake holders etc.

Nominations will be judged based on overall performance vis avis project goals and with regard to - results, enablers, value indicators
in planning and achieving a beneficial, sustainable and replicable e- Governance project from stakeholder’s perspective.

Note: Depending on the number and quality of entries, nominations may be considered for Winner/Appreciation Award under each of above category. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final.
