| CSI - Nihilent e-Governance 2011-12 AWARDS |
The Computer Society of India’s Special Interest Group on e-Governance has instituted a series of awards for recognizing the contributions made in the field of e-Governance in the country. This is the tenth year of such recognition and Nihilent Technologies Ltd has been sponsoring them since it’s inception.. |
The awards are given for recognizing the efforts / initiatives made in e-Governance area, specifically during the year between 1st April 2011 and 31st March 2012 at the project, district, department, State/ Central level. |
| There is active participation for these awards from State and Central Government establishments, Departments, District authorities and many Undertakings, research establishments. Participation by many of these Central and State level organizations have made these Awards an awaited event. |
| As part of a change to invent and encourage efforts by various stake holders, during the year 2011-12 a new award for recognizing sustenance was introduced. Primarily the selection committee picked up those cases which were recognized earlier i.e 2005-06 and reviewed present status to qualify for the sustenance award. This year the team will look at those winners of the year 2006-07 and identify winners through a process. No nominations are expected but the Awards team will get in touch with potential nominees and interact with them. |
| Another of the efforts to encourage efforts of the Government teams from NE States, all those nominations from these states were separately assessed and winners identified. This process will continue this year as well. Just a small effort from CSI SIG end, to provide a token of appreciation to the special e-Gov initiatives of the teams working in the NE region. |
| And this year synchronizing with the 10th year of the awards journey, we are inviting nominations from private Sector IT Product /IT Service enterprises who are making their own significant contributions in the e-Governance journey of the country by way of their projects with Government sector clients be at State level or Central level. We invite nominations from these private enterprises show casing their successful journey with Government departments/ Districts/ Projects. Just to avoid parallele nominations turning up for the same case, all such nominations must be accompanied by a NoC from the concerned Department/District/Project Authority. Please go ahead and get your ICT e-Governance contributions show cased on the CSI SIG pedestal. |
| The Awards nominations go through a multistage short listing and uses well established AHP model for scoring apart from field level validation of data presented & presentations by ‘Finalists’. |
